We are Committed to Our Neighbors in the North Quabbin Community.

Besides developing products and services to meet the specific needs of our members, we are happy to participate in a number of community programs. These include participating in Thanksgiving food drives, holiday gift donations, and the annual Back-to-School backpack giveaway. Here are some of our contributions.

Community Canvas Program

Athol Credit Union’s Community Canvas program is a youth arts initiative that fosters creativity, confidence, and community connection while demonstrating ACU’s commitment to supporting the social and economic well‑being of the North Quabbin region.

Remaking Main Street – Athol, MA

Remaking Main Street is a community-driven business accelerator that equips local, underserved entrepreneurs with the training, mentorship, and support needed to launch sustainable small businesses and revitalize Athol’s downtown economy.

Spearheaded by the Polus Center for Social and Economic Development in partnership with Athol Credit Union, this initiative brings together local educators, business leaders, and municipal officials to foster long-term economic renewal.

Community Life

ACU also actively supports community life by participating in local events such as Bingo at the Athol Senior Center, the River Rat Race, the Halloween Preschool Stroll, and ARSD’s Back to School Event—and looks forward to continuing and expanding this involvement. We are also dedicated to ending hunger and building food security in North Quabbin. Our efforts aim to ensure that families in our region have access to the food they need.

Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament

We are committed to creating opportunities for the next generation as part of our mission.

Ringing of the Bells
